Warm
Tasting term describing a high alcohol flavour but still a balanced body

Watery
Tasting term for thin wines with little texture, usually made out of high yields..

Weight
A tasting term mostly referring to the wine's body.

Weighty
Tasting term used for well-textured and balanced wines.

Well  Balanced  
A tasting term used for a wine that has a perfect texture with a balanced proportion of alcohol, fruit, acid or astringency.

Wine cellar
A wine cellar is a dark, humid and cool storage underground room where bottles are kept for the purpose of ageing.

Wine fault
A wine fault or defect is an undesirable and unpleasant characteristic, often resulting from poor winemaking practices or storage conditions.

Winery
A winery is the place, including the building and required winemaking equipment, where wine is made. The french equivalent term for winery is chateau or domaine.

Winemaker
A winemaker is an expert who is in charge of all the steps of wine making at a chateau (winery).

Wine press
A wine press is a device used to extract grape juice from crushed grapes during wine making.

Woody
Tasting term used for ligneous and oaky wines

Yeast
Yeast is a unicellular, eukaryotic microorganism responsible for converting sugar in the must to alcohol (alcoholic fermentation).

Yeasty - yeastlike 
Tasting term describing mostly undesirable flavours and odours deriving from varietal yeasts carried on grapeskins.

Yield
The yield is the volume of wine produced by a vineyard or a winery. It is generally expressed in hectolitres per hectare. Low yields usually leads to an increased quality of the wine.

Zymology
Zymology is a science that deals with the fermentation process.
